Watching yourself do anything is one of the most inherently helpful things you can do when it comes to improving at a skill, and surfing is no exception. As a dedicated surf coach, I know how important is to not only break down surf footage, but to shape and present it in way that is interactive, easily digestible, and will help build active goals for the next time you surf.

If I am shooting footage to coach, I shoot on a Sony A6600 with either Sony or Sigma lenses. Here are some examples of what I shoot. These are real examples of surf clips I have broken down for teaching right after contests for our local, competitive surfers. Anything I don't shoot is always shot by someone even better than me.
